Tuba Uçar

Tuba is Senior Counsel at Igniters Tech Law, registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, whose practice sits at the heart of what technology-driven businesses need most: clear, practical, and forward-looking legal counsel across the full range of corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters that define the startup and innovation landscape. She studied at Başkent University on a full scholarship and later deepened her academic credentials with a master's degree from Istanbul Bilgi University, where her thesis focused on the transfer of trademark rights and its legal consequences in the restructuring of capital companies, a topic that sits squarely at the intersection of IP law and corporate transactions and speaks directly to the sophistication she brings to client matters involving both disciplines.

From the outset of her career, Tuba built a well-rounded foundation spanning company formations for international clients, commercial agreement drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, and cross-border transactions. She developed particular depth in multi-jurisdictional matters, an increasingly essential skill set in a world where technology companies routinely operate across borders from their earliest days. Her expertise in compliance processes and commercial contracting reflects both the breadth of her experience and her instinct for the operational realities her clients face day to day.

Outside the office, Tuba is a lover of theater and film festivals, an enthusiastic explorer of new destinations and restaurants, and the designated mediator in an ongoing diplomatic effort to establish lasting peace between her two cats, who remain, for now, a work in progress.
