He served as an economics reporter and editor at Habertürk, one of Türkiye's most widely read newspapers, and contributed in parallel to Haberturk.com, its digital platform, curating and publishing content, conducting interviews, and delivering analysis on economic developments for a broad and discerning audience. That experience, knowing how stories are built, what editors look for, and how narratives land in the public sphere, is an extraordinary asset in a communications role, and it informs everything Erdem does at Igniters.

His fluency in English and strong command of French further extend his reach, enabling him to monitor international reporting, engage with global media, and craft content that resonates across audiences and markets.

At Igniters, Erdem leads the firm's corporate communications strategy end to end, developing press materials, managing media relations, and overseeing a range of PR initiatives designed to strengthen the firm's public profile and deepen its engagement with the clients, investors, and ecosystem partners that matter most. He brings to this work the same precision and credibility that defined his journalism career, with the added advantage of understanding the legal and technology landscape his colleagues navigate every day.

During his university years, Erdem balanced his academic work with professional experience in tourism and hospitality, client-facing industries that sharpened his communication instincts and gave him an early appreciation for how relationships are built and maintained.
